Hostage Trauma. This illustration is the horror we all live in. We all share the trauma, the PTSD, the pain, the mental anguish, the fears. For those freed "getting back to life" is a life challenge. Here I depict a crying and emotional hostage or perhaps a traumatized loved one. A forever tunnel in the psyche. Always lurking in the shadows is evil, the terrorist. I added a prison fence coming out of the head to highlight the imprisoned spirit. Dripping random paint as a metaphor of anxiety, nightmares, flashbacks.
