Hi, I'm Carmi Plaut, a interdisciplinary visual artist, activist and satirist. Years of designing in many mediums has led me down many non-traditional creative roads. A product designer, illustrator, digital artist and painter, a stone sculptor and printmaker. My passion for exploration and creation in contemporary Jewish Arts is without boundaries. I love color and out-of-box design, funky functional art, found objects, rust and stone. I love collaborating with other artists. I embrace the artistic spiritual journey.
As a New Mexico artist, my search for a meaningful personal art expression began early in life with a passion for many mixed mediums. While living in Jerusalem, Los Angeles, Chicago and New Mexico, I have been influenced by many art disciplines. As Chief Creative of Prosperity Tree Studios and Virtually Beautiful, my specialty was often taking ideas/concepts and transforming them into viable, exciting come-to-life products and online solutions. I'm thankful for the many memorable opportunities working with many over-the top artists, manufacturers, and design teams. This journey has resulted in years of creating original fine art, cutting edge consumer products, home décor and Judaica across the globe.
My goal as a visual artist is to create artistic expressions that inspire and instigate delight, contemplation and action. My artworks articulates various overlapping themes: spirituality and tradition, satire and humor, contemporary culture and abstract realism.
Life is all about the Art!
